Day three bill introduction

Senators reconvened Jan. 9 to continue introduction of new bills.

Among the 44 measures introduced were:

LB912, sponsored by Gering Sen. Brian Hardin, which would adopt the Community Health Worker Training Endorsement Act;

LB916, introduced by Sen. Glen Meyer of Pender, which would provide requirements for the transport of carbon dioxide and change provisions relating to eminent domain and the Nebraska Geologic Storage of Carbon Dioxide Act;

LB919, sponsored by Bellevue Sen. Rita Sanders, which would allow for the use of durable accessible mediums for public records;

LB921, introduced by Sen. Teresa Ibach of Sumner, which would adopt the Nebraska Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act and change certain employer duties under the Non-English-Speaking Workers Protection Act;

LB929, sponsored by Omaha Sen. John Fredrickson, which would provide requirements for the state Department of Health and Human Services relating to deductions and cost sharing for Medicaid enrollees;

LB935, introduced by Sen. Carolyn Bosn of Lincoln, which would provide for the award of costs and attorney’s fees in certain actions involving political subdivisions;

LB939, sponsored by Glenvil Sen. Dave Murman, which would adopt the Saving Human Connection Act;

LB941, introduced by Sen. Loren Lippincott of Central City, which would exclude certain franchisors from being considered employers under certain labor laws;

LB942, sponsored by Ralston Sen. Merv Riepe, which would provide requirements for Medicaid reimbursement for emergency medical conditions and inpatient services under the Medical Assistance Act; and

LB943, introduced by Sen. Myron Dorn of Adams, which would provide immunity from claims of public or private nuisance for motor vehicle racing facilities.
