Innovative tourism grant changes clear final round
Lawmakers passed a bill May 14 that makes changes to tourism marketing grants.

Under current law, the Nebraska Tourism Commission manages a program to provide innovative marketing grants to communities and organizations that promote attractions or host events that increase tourism.
LB560, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. George Dungan, requires the commission to award up to $500,000 in grants under the program each fiscal year to a city or village.
The bill passed 49-0.
