Sen. Nicole Fox of Omaha was sworn in Aug. 18 to represent legislative district 7. She is a nutrition therapist specialist with Nebraska Medicine and an adjunct instructor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
“I applied for this position because I have long been interested in public service,” she said.
Gov. Pete Ricketts said Fox has been active in public policy related to health care and will bring a fresh perspective to the Legislature.
Fox was appointed by the governor to replace Sen. Jeremy Nordquist, who resigned June 30. Nordquist left the Legislature to serve as chief of staff to Congressman Brad Ashford.
