Transporter plate change approved

Lawmakers passed a bill March 15 that changes a record retention law for transporter plates.

LB699, introduced by Brainard Sen. Bruce Bostelman, decreases the retention period from six to three years for transporter plate applicants to keep records associated with the transport of a motor vehicle.

The bill passed on a 45-0 vote.
