Day two bill introduction

Senators reconvened Jan. 6 to continue introduction of new bills.

Among the 69 measures introduced were:

LB793, sponsored by Omaha Sen. John McCollister, which would provide for ranked-choice voting for certain city and village offices;

LB812, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Robert Hilkemann, which would provide for vaccine administration by pharmacy technicians;

LB815, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Terrell McKinney, which would adopt the Diaper Changing Accommodation Act;

LB828, sponsored by Albion Sen. Tom Briese, which would prohibit manipulation of elections under the Election Act and provide a penalty;

LB831, introduced by Omaha Sen. Machaela Cavanaugh, which would provide for caregiver diversion programs and conditional release of pregnant and postpartum inmates;

LB833, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Rich Pahls, which would change the statute of limitations on certain civil actions for sexual assault of a child;

LB838, sponsored by Seward Sen. Mark Kolterman, which would require the state Department of Education to create an aid program relating to the early childhood workforce;

LB848, sponsored by Hastings Sen. Steve Halloran, which would change provisions of the Animal Health and Disease Control Act relating to catastrophic livestock mortality;

LB852, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Jen Day, which would require behavioral health points of contact for school districts; and

LB859, sponsored by Elmwood Sen. Robert Clements, which would require city-county health departments to obtain approval for directed health measures.
