Senators approve NET changes

Lawmakers passed a bill March 4 that eliminates one of the two required locations for an educational television network.

LB331, introduced by the Education Committee, removes a requirement that the educational television network of Nebraska have two production facilities. The bill also eliminates the requirement that one of the facilities be located in Omaha.

The bill passed 46-0.
