Senators reconvened Jan. 11 to continue introduction of new bills.

Among the 42 measures introduced were:

LB1136, sponsored by Sen. Robert Dover of Norfolk, which would change provisions of the Nebraska Real Estate License Act;

LB1139, introduced by Omaha Sen. Machaela Cavanaugh, which would adopt the Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Act;

LB1140, sponsored by Sen. Steve Erdman of Bayard, which would prohibit geologic transport or storage of carbon dioxide and eliminate the Nebraska Geologic Storage of Carbon Dioxide Act;

LB1142, introduced by Omaha Sen. Justin Wayne, which would require and restrict certain actions of any animal control facility, animal rescue, animal shelter or rabies control authority;

LB1150, sponsored by Sen. Tom Brandt of Plymouth, which would change the Tax Equity and Educational Opportunities Support Act;

LB1158, introduced by Lincoln Sen. Eliot Bostar, which would adopt the Medical Debt Relief Act and provide certain income tax consequences;

LB1166, sponsored by Sen. John Lowe of Kearney, which would provide requirements for zoning regulations and accessory dwelling units;

LB1168, introduced by Bennington Sen. Wendy DeBoer, which would adopt the Uniform Health-Care Decisions Act;

LB1170, sponsored by Sen. Merv Riepe of Ralston, which would change provisions of the Employment Security Law relating to benefit amounts and periods of disqualification for benefits; and

LB1172, introduced by Elkhorn Sen. R. Brad von Gillern, which would change provisions relating to access to health data in certain registries and databases for research purposes.
