{"id":8969,"date":"2013-02-20T16:33:30","date_gmt":"2013-02-20T22:33:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=8969"},"modified":"2013-03-11T10:59:58","modified_gmt":"2013-03-11T16:59:58","slug":"program-extension-proposed-for-commission-on-indian-affairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=8969","title":{"rendered":"Program extension proposed for Commission on Indian Affairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee heard testimony Feb. 20 on a bill that would authorize the Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs to spend designated funds in fiscal years 2013-14 and 2014-15.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, a political subdivision may grant funds to an area within 30 miles of a tribal government. LB504, introduced by Lincoln Sen.
