Omaha Sen. Steve Lathrop introduced LR20, which would reconstitute the Developmental Disabilities Special Investigative Committee of the Legislature through the current biennium. The committee first was assembled in 2008 to address a number of issues at the Beatrice State Developmental Center that led to a loss of federal funding.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve made progress, but we\u2019re still not where we need to be,\u201d Lathrop said.<\/p>\n
There was no testimony on the proposal.<\/p>\n
