Kate Sullivan, which would authorize voters to change election of county offices from partisan to nonpartisan;<\/li>\n<li>LB244, sponsored by Bancroft Sen. Lydia Brasch, which would require apprentice electricians to complete continuing education;<\/li>\n<li>LB246, sponsored by O\u2019Neill Sen. Tyson Larson, which would provide for a health care copayment for jail and prison inmates;<\/li>\n<li>LB257, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Beau McCoy, which would change provisions relating to creation of municipal counties;<\/li>\n<li>LB264, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Kate Bolz, which would provide an income tax credit for individuals caring for dependents;<\/li>\n<li>LB265, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Colby Coash, which would change foster care licensure and kinship home and relative home provisions;<\/li>\n<li>LB266, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Ernie Chambers, which would eliminate provisions relating to increases in local option sales tax rates;<\/li>\n<li>LB268, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Kathy Campbell, which would state intent to appropriate funds for upgrade of an electronic data collection system related to child welfare and other economic assistance programs;<\/li>\n<li>LB272, sponsored by Holdrege Sen. Tom Carlson, which would change provisions relating to chemigation permits and fees; and<\/li>\n<li>LB274, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Jeremy Nordquist, which would adopt the Education Compensation Transparency Act.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A complete <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/search_by_date.php?SessionDay=2013\">list of introduced bills<\/a> is available at NebraskaLegislature.gov.<\/p>\n<p>New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 23.<\/p>\n<p>Nebraska Supreme Court Justice Mike Heavican\u2019s State of the Judiciary address is scheduled for Jan. 17. Committee hearings are scheduled to begin Jan. 22 and continue through March.<\/p>\n<p>The session will last 90 legislative days and tentatively is scheduled to adjourn June 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senators reconvened Jan. 16 to continue bill introduction.
