Kathy Campbell, changes current state statute to reflect the standards adopted by the federal government and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.<\/p>\n<p>The scope of practice is extended to include physicians assistants, nurse practitioners and certified residential nurse anesthetists.<\/p>\n<p>Senators passed the bill on a 49-0 vote.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Additional health professionals can order respiratory therapy services due to a bill passed by the Legislature April 4.
