{"id":7041,"date":"2012-03-22T13:00:54","date_gmt":"2012-03-22T19:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=7041"},"modified":"2013-03-11T13:13:05","modified_gmt":"2013-03-11T19:13:05","slug":"marriage-and-family-therapist-certification-changes-advance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=7041","title":{"rendered":"Marriage and family therapist certification changes advance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lawmakers gave first-round approval March 22 to a bill that would change Nebraska\u2019s supervision requirement for attaining certification as a marriage and family therapist.<\/p>\n<p>As introduced, LB1148 would specify that the current 3,000 hours of supervised experience include:<br \/>\n\u2022 1,500 hours of direct client contact during the five years preceding application for certification;<br \/>\n\u2022 at least 100 hours of supervisor-supervisee contact hours with a qualified supervisor; and<br \/>\n\u2022 supervision provided at least one hour per week or two hours every two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>This bill also would amend the definition of qualified supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>Grand Island Sen.
