John Wightman, which would change provisions relating to compulsory school attendance;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15992\" target=\"_blank\">LB998<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Bob Krist, which would create the Foster Care Review Office and eliminate the Foster Care Review Board;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15967\" target=\"_blank\">LB1008<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Tony Fulton, which would provide for utilization and treatment guidelines for medical services under the Nebraska Workers&#8217; Compensation Act;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15681\" target=\"_blank\">LB1009<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Brad Ashford, which would provide that probation records are not subject to disclosure;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15251\" target=\"_blank\">LB1010<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Jeremy Nordquist, which would change eligibility provisions relating to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15869\" target=\"_blank\">LB1011<\/a>, sponsored by Fullerton Sen. Annette Dubas, which would adopt the Property Tax Relief Act;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=16003\" target=\"_blank\">LB1014<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Danielle Conrad, which would authorize the auditor of public accounts to conduct a performance audit of the state Department of Roads;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15579\" target=\"_blank\">LB1025<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Bill Avery, which would prohibit Public Service Commission members from accepting gifts and contributions;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15949\" target=\"_blank\">LB1028<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Tanya Cook, which would require the state Department of Health and Human Services to apply for a grant relating to long-term care services; and<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15660\" target=\"_blank\">LR375CA<\/a>, sponsored by Columbus Sen. Paul Schumacher, a proposed constitutional amendment that would permit the Legislature to authorize games of chance, lotteries, and gift enterprises, provide for compacts with bordering states and distribute revenue.<\/p>\n<p>New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 19.<\/p>\n<p>A complete <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/search_by_date.php?SessionDay=2012\" target=\"_blank\">list of introduced bills<\/a> is available at NebraskaLegislature.gov.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Justice Mike Heavican is scheduled to deliver his State of the Judiciary address to the Legislature Jan. 19.<\/p>\n<p>Committee hearings begin Jan. 17 and continue through February.
