Mike Flood, which would provide for fund transfers and change provisions relating to various funds;<br \/>\n\u2022<a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15909\" target=\"_blank\"> LB970<\/a>, sponsored by Bellevue Sen. Abbie Cornett, which would terminate the inheritance tax and change income tax rates and calculations;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15657\" target=\"_blank\">LB971<\/a>, sponsored by Scottsbluff Sen. John Harms, which would merge the state Department of Labor into the state Department of Economic Development;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15548\" target=\"_blank\">LB972<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Brad Ashford, which would transfer youth rehabilitation and treatment centers from the Office of Juvenile Services to the Department of Correctional Services;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15954\" target=\"_blank\">LB976<\/a>, sponsored by the Omaha Sen. Jeremy Nordquist, which would exempt social security benefits from state income taxation;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15175\" target=\"_blank\">LB977<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Heath Mello, which would adopt the Property Tax Relief Act;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15818\" target=\"_blank\">LB984<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Bob Krist, which would increase requirements for uninsured and underinsured motor vehicle liability coverage;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15978\" target=\"_blank\">LB986<\/a>, sponsored by Fullerton Sen. Annette Dubas, which would exempt repair or replacement parts for commercial agricultural machinery and equipment from sales and use tax;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15168\" target=\"_blank\">LB987<\/a>, sponsored by Wilber Sen. Russ Karpisek, which would create the Liquor Control Enforcement Division within the Nebraska Liquor Control Act; and<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15974\" target=\"_blank\">LB988<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Gwen Howard, which would provide a rate of payment for certain medical services in emergency protective custody situations.<\/p>\n<p>New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 19.<\/p>\n<p>A complete <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/\" target=\"_blank\">list of introduced bills<\/a> is available at NebraskaLegislature.gov.<\/p>\n<p>Committee hearings are scheduled to begin on Jan. 17 and continue through February.
