Mark Christensen, which would authorize possession of firearms as prescribed;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15200\">LB794<\/a>, sponsored by Plattsmouth Sen. R. Paul Lambert, which would redefine &#8220;byproduct material&#8221; under the Radiation Control Act;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15783\" target=\"_blank\">LB806<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Scott Lautenbaugh, which would authorize the State Racing Commission to regulate wagering on historic horse races;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15751\" target=\"_blank\">LB814<\/a>, sponsored by Ogallala Sen. Ken Schilz, which would include additional substances in the schedule of controlled substances under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15540\" target=\"_blank\">LB817<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Pete Pirsch, which would change duties of the Community Corrections Division of the Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15461\" target=\"_blank\">LB821<\/a>, sponsored by the Health and Human Services Committee, which would create the Nebraska Children&#8217;s Commission and require legislation to create the Department of Children&#8217;s Services;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15797\" target=\"_blank\">LB825<\/a>, sponsored by Fullerton Sen. Annette Dubas, which would establish local offices for access to public benefit programs;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15169\" target=\"_blank\">LB829<\/a>, sponsored by Ellsworth Sen. LeRoy Louden, which would create alcohol impact zones;<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15567\" target=\"_blank\">LB834<\/a>, sponsored by Grand Island Sen. Mike Gloor, which would change the Nebraska Regulation of Health Professions Act; and<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=15606\" target=\"_blank\">LB838<\/a>, sponsored by Boys Town Sen. Rich Pahls, which would adopt the Nebraska Health Benefit Exchange Act.<\/p>\n<p>New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 19.<\/p>\n<p>A complete list of <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/search_by_date.php?SessionDay=2012-01-05\" target=\"_blank\">bills introduced Jan. 5<\/a> is available at NebraskaLegislature.gov.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Dave Heineman\u2019s State of the State address is scheduled for Jan. 12.
