{"id":4282,"date":"2011-04-11T14:20:30","date_gmt":"2011-04-11T20:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=4282"},"modified":"2013-03-11T15:02:01","modified_gmt":"2013-03-11T21:02:01","slug":"penalty-reduction-proposed-for-obstruction-of-a-driver%e2%80%99s-view","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=4282","title":{"rendered":"Penalty reduction proposed for obstruction of a driver\u2019s view"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Placing or hanging objects in a vehicle that obstruct or interfere with the view of the operator would become a secondary offense under a bill advanced from general file April 11.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, operating a vehicle with such objects is a Class V misdemeanor, which calls for a maximum fine of $100.<\/p>\n<p>LB500, introduced by Omaha Sen. Tanya Cook, would downgrade this violation to a traffic infraction.
