Rick Holdcroft<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>LB133, sponsored by Bellevue Sen. Rick Holdcroft, adds \u201canimal control officer\u201d to the definition of \u201claw enforcement officer\u201d for purposes of animal control laws. The change gives animal control officers authority to enforce state or local animal control laws if authorized by a city, village or county.<\/p>\n<p>The bill also adds a separate definition for animal control officer and includes that definition in certain sections of state law where law enforcement officer is used.
