Among the 37 measures introduced were:<\/p>\n
LB1042<\/a>, sponsored by Sen. John Fredrickson of Omaha, which would change provisions relating to registering to vote;<\/p>\n LB1044<\/a>, introduced by Omaha Sen. Terrell McKinney, which would create a task force to study reparations for slavery and change permitted uses of a tax imposed on marijuana;<\/p>\n LB1045<\/a>, sponsored by Sen. John Cavanaugh of Omaha, which would prohibit use of peremptory challenges against jurors based on membership in certain groups;<\/p>\n LB1050<\/a>, introduced by Lincoln Sen. Danielle Conrad, which would require school districts to provide menstrual products to students;<\/p>\n LB1052<\/a>, sponsored by Sen. Lynne Walz of Fremont, which would allow a teacher employed at an approved or accredited public, private, denominational or parochial school to receive reimbursement for school supplies;<\/p>\n LB1060<\/a>, introduced by Blair Sen. Ben Hansen, which would provide an exemption from newborn screening;<\/p>\n LB1063<\/a>, sponsored by Sen. Steve Halloran of Hastings, which would require approval by the voters of the school district prior to expenditure of special building funds as prescribed;<\/p>\n LB1064<\/a>, introduced by Central City Sen. Loren Lippincott, which would prohibit tenure at certain postsecondary educational institutions and require a written policy regarding terms and conditions of employment;<\/p>\n LB1067<\/a>, sponsored by Sen. Robert Clements of Elmwood, which would eliminate the inheritance tax, adopt the State Prisoner Reimbursement Act and change the authorized uses of certain county funds; and<\/p>\n
