Senators introduced 22 measures on the sixth day of bill introduction Jan. 15.<\/p>\n

Among the proposals were:<\/p>\n

LB1000, sponsored by Bellevue Sen. Carol Blood, which would direct any registration fees from fantasy contests to the early childhood and childcare workforce;<\/p>\n

LB1001<\/a>, sponsored by Bellevue Sen. Sue Crawford, which would require suicide prevention phone numbers on student identification cards;<\/p>\n

LB1002<\/a>, sponsored by Brainard Sen. Bruce Bostelman, which would change provisions relating to wholesale drug distribution for emergency medical reasons;<\/p>\n

LB1003<\/a>, sponsored by Fremont Sen. Lynne Walz, which would provide annexation powers to cities of the second class and villages for relocation due to catastrophic flooding;<\/p>\n

LB1005<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. John McCollister, which would change provisions regarding nomination and election of certain partisan candidates;<\/p>\n

LB1008<\/a>, sponsored by Norfolk Sen. Jim Scheer, which would provide, change and eliminate provisions relating to appropriations;<\/p>\n

LB1011<\/a>, sponsored by La Vista Sen. John Arch, which would require certain hospitals to accept reimbursement from the Medicare program;<\/p>\n

LB1013<\/a>, sponsored by Elkhorn Sen. Lou Ann Linehan, which would change the cigarette tax and exempt certain transactions;<\/p>\n

LB1015<\/a>, sponsored by Albion Sen. Tom Briese, which would provide for year-round daylight saving time; and<\/p>\n

LB1020<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Tony Vargas, which would change provisions relating to discrimination under the Nebraska Fair Housing Act.<\/p>\n
