Mark Christensen<\/a>, which would change use of force provisions to include protection of an unborn child;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=11674\" target=\"_blank\">LB233<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha<a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/dist10\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Sen. Bob Krist<\/a>, which would decrease the number of members of the Legislature from 49 to 45;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=11992\" target=\"_blank\">LB237<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha <a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/dist09\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Gwen Howard<\/a>, which would create a prescription drug monitoring program;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=12367\" target=\"_blank\">LB238<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln <a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/dist46\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Danielle Conrad<\/a>, which would eliminate workers&#8217; compensation three-judge review and change certain procedural provisions;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=12209\" target=\"_blank\">LB239<\/a>, sponsored by Fremont <a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/dist15\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Charlie Janssen<\/a>, which would require voters to present government-issued photographic identification at elections;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=12006\" target=\"_blank\">LB247<\/a>, sponsored by Boys Town <a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/dist31\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Rich Pahls<\/a>, which would adopt the Classrooms First Act;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=12329\" target=\"_blank\">LB249<\/a>, sponsored by Wilber <a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/dist32\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Russ Karpisek<\/a>, which would provide for waiver of restrictions on alcohol sales near postsecondary campuses;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=12038\" target=\"_blank\">LB253<\/a>, sponsored by O\u2019Neill <a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/dist40\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Tyson Larson<\/a>, which would eliminate provisions relating to a tax credit for wind energy generating facilities;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=12002\" target=\"_blank\">LB271<\/a>, sponsored by the <a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/exe\/\" target=\"_blank\">Executive Board<\/a>, which would eliminate the office of Legislative Research; and<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=12589\" target=\"_blank\">LB276<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha <a href=\"http:\/\/news.legislature.ne.gov\/dist11\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Brenda Council<\/a>, which would change a penalty from death to life imprisonment without possibility of parole and change other penalties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A complete list of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/search_by_date.php?SessionDay=2011-01-11\" target=\"_blank\">bills introduced Jan. 11 <\/a>is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">NebraskaLegislature.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 19.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Dave Heineman\u2019s State of the State address is scheduled for Jan. 13.
