Matt Williams, creates a Venture Development and Innovation Task Force that will develop a statewide strategic plan by Dec. 1, 2016, to cultivate a climate of entrepreneurship and innovation in Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>Appointed to the committee are:<br \/>\nSyracuse Sen. Dan Watermeier (chairperson)<br \/>\nGothenburg Sen. Matt Williams (vice-chairperson)<br \/>\nHyannis Sen. Al Davis<br \/>\nLincoln Sen. Mark Kolterman<br \/>\nColumbus Sen. Paul Schumacher<br \/>\nGering Sen. John Stinner<\/p>\n<p>LB1093, introduced by Lincoln Sen. Adam Morfeld, creates a bioscience steering committee that will study the impact of bioscience on the state\u2019s economy, identify ways to stimulate job growth in science, technology and engineering and encourage biotechnology companies to locate in Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>Appointed to the committee are:<br \/>\nLincoln Sen. Adam Morfeld (chairperson)<br \/>\nHeartwell Sen. John Kuehn (vice-chairperson)<br \/>\nWahoo Sen. Jerry Johnson<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. Heath Mello<br \/>\nColumbus Sen. Paul Schumacher<\/p>\n<p>Lawmakers established the Tribal Economic Development Committee on April 12 with the adoption of LR547. The committee will conduct a study on the Legislature\u2019s policy options to enhance economic development for the state\u2019s Native American population. The committee\u2019s policy recommendations are due to the Legislature by Dec. 15.<\/p>\n<p>Appointed to the committee are:<br \/>\nO\u2019Neill Sen. Tyson Larson<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. Brett Lindstrom<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. Heath Mello<br \/>\nOgallala Sen. Ken Schilz<br \/>\nPapillion Sen. Jim Smith<\/p>\n<p>A committee for determining the need and options for developing a regional certified crime laboratory in the Omaha area was established April 12 with the adoption of LR601. <\/p>\n<p>Appointed to the committee are:<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. Ernie Chambers<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. Robert Hilkemann<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. Rick Kolowski<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. John McCollister<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. Heath Mello<br \/>\nHastings Sen. Les Seiler<br \/>\nGothenburg Sen. Matt Williams<\/p>\n<p>With the adoption of LR455 on April 13, senators also established a committee to examine issues related to the impact of climate change on Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>Appointed to the committee are:<br \/>\nMalcolm Sen. Ken Haar<br \/>\nLincoln Sen. Patty Pansing Brooks<br \/>\nHeartwell Sen. John Kuehn<br \/>\nO\u2019Neill Sen. Tyson Larson<br \/>\nOmaha Sen. Heath Mello<br \/>\nOgallala Sen. Ken Schilz<br \/>\nGering Sen.
