{"id":16456,"date":"2015-02-20T12:34:42","date_gmt":"2015-02-20T18:34:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=16456"},"modified":"2015-02-20T12:34:42","modified_gmt":"2015-02-20T18:34:42","slug":"statehood-license-plates-approved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=16456","title":{"rendered":"Statehood license plates approved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lawmakers passed a bill Feb. 20 that authorizes specialty license plates in celebration of Nebraska\u2019s 150th anniversary of statehood in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The Nebraska 150 Sesquicentennial Plate will be available as an alphanumeric or a personalized message plate under LB220, introduced by Papillion Sen. Jim Smith. The alphanumeric version of the plate will display up to seven characters and will not display county designators.<\/p>\n<p>The plates will be available from Oct. 1, 2015 to Dec. 31, 2022. An initial application and renewal fee of $70 will be required.
