Mike Groene, which would change provisions relating to tax-increment financing under the Community Development Law;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24958\">LB245<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Patty Pansing Brooks, which would change provisions relating to DNA testing of biological material;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24943\">LB248<\/a>, sponsored by Cedar Rapids Sen. Kate Sullivan, which would prohibit use of interactive wireless devices by school bus drivers as prescribed;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=25229\">LB250<\/a>, sponsored by O\u2019Neill Sen. Tyson Larson, which would eliminate time restrictions on keno;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24656\">LB251<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Jeremy Nordquist, which would adopt the Veterans Subsidized Training and Employment Act;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24713\">LB262<\/a>, sponsored by Wahoo Sen. Jerry Johnson, which would eliminate refund provisions under the Dairy Industry Development Act;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24806\">LB265<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Kathy Campbell, which would change provisions relating to juveniles and child welfare;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=25136\">LB268<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Ernie Chambers, which would change a penalty from death to life imprisonment without parole, eliminate a homicide report and change provisions relating to murder in the first degree;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24947\">LB273<\/a>, also sponsored by Sullivan, which would authorize voters to decide partisan status of county offices; and<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24800\">LB275<\/a>, sponsored by Henderson Sen. Curt Friesen, which would change penalties for operating a motor vehicle during a revocation period.<\/p>\n<p>A complete list of bills introduced thus far is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/search_by_date.php?SessionDay=2015\">NebraskaLegislature.gov<\/a>. New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 21.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Pete Ricketts\u2019 State of the State Address is scheduled for Jan. 22. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/calendar\/calendar.php?cal_start=2015-01-14\">Committee hearings<\/a> are scheduled to begin Jan. 20 and continue through March.<\/p>\n<p>The session will last 90 legislative days and is tentatively scheduled to adjourn June 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senators reconvened Jan. 14 to introduce bills.
