Sara Howard, which would provide for stipends for social work students;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24990\">LB209<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Robert Hilkemann, which would adopt the Political Subdivisions Mandatory Mediation Act;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24598\">LB212<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Ernie Chambers, which would prohibit the use of restraints in juvenile courts as prescribed;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24480\">LB214<\/a>, sponsored by Columbus Sen. Paul Schumacher, which would provide for electronic signatures on initiative and referendum petitions;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24748\">LB220<\/a>, sponsored by Papillion Sen. Jim Smith, which would provide for Nebraska 150 Sesquicentennial license plates and distribute fees;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24380\">LB222<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Burke Harr, which would create the Fallen Heroes Memorial Commission and provide duties;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24603\">LB226<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Colby Coash, which would authorize crowdfunding as prescribed and exempt crowdfunding under the Securities Act of Nebraska;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24366\">LB227<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Matt Hansen, which would change provisions relating to educational bridge programs;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=25049\">LB228<\/a>, sponsored by Syracuse Sen. Dan Watermeier, which would change corporate income tax rates;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24928\">LB232<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Jeremy Nordquist, which would adopt the College Choice Grant Program Act.<\/p>\n<p>A complete list of bills introduced thus far is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/search_by_date.php?SessionDay=2015\">NebraskaLegislature.gov<\/a>. New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 21.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Pete Ricketts\u2019 State of the State Address is scheduled for Jan. 22. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskalegislature.gov\/calendar\/calendar.php?cal_start=2015-01-13\">Committee hearings<\/a> are scheduled to begin Jan. 20 and continue through March.<\/p>\n<p>The session will last 90 legislative days and is tentatively scheduled to adjourn June 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senators reconvened Jan. 13 to introduce bills.
