Brett Lindstrom, which would change income tax provisions relating to social security benefits;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24332\">LB168<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Heath Mello, which would authorize expansion of existing business improvement districts;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24909\">LB172<\/a>, sponsored by Ernie Chambers, which would eliminate certain mandatory minimum penalties;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24729\">LB175<\/a>, sponsored by Ogallala Sen. Ken Schilz, which would adopt the Livestock Growth Act and change provisions of the Nebraska Advantage Rural Development Act;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24995\">LB178<\/a>, sponsored by Syracuse Sen. Dan Watermeier, which would change valuation of agricultural land and horticultural land;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24637\">LB182<\/a>, sponsored by Malcolm Sen. Ken Haar, which would create the School Funding and Educational Outcomes Review Committee;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24803\">LB185<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Kate Bolz, which would appropriate funds to implement the Master Teacher Program Act;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24792\">LB187<\/a>, sponsored by Papillion Sen. Bill Kintner, which would require the state Department of Health and Human Services and health care facilities to provide information regarding abortion;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24542\">LB189<\/a>, sponsored by Hyannis Sen. Al Davis, which would change provisions and penalties relating to marijuana and alphabetize definitions; and<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=24811\">LR10CA<\/a>, sponsored by Columbus Sen. Paul Schumacher, which would permit the Legislature to authorize and regulate gaming.<\/p>\n<p>A complete list of bills introduced thus far is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/search_by_date.php?SessionDay=2015\">NebraskaLegislature.gov<\/a>. New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 21.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Pete Ricketts\u2019 State of the State Address is scheduled for Jan. 22. Committee hearings are scheduled to begin Jan. 20 and continue through March.<\/p>\n<p>The session will last 90 legislative days and is tentatively scheduled to adjourn June 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senators reconvened Jan. 12 to introduce bills.
