{"id":14401,"date":"2014-01-31T14:51:19","date_gmt":"2014-01-31T20:51:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=14401"},"modified":"2014-01-31T14:51:19","modified_gmt":"2014-01-31T20:51:19","slug":"class-ii-and-iii-school-board-size-discussed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/update.legislature.ne.gov\/?p=14401","title":{"rendered":"Class II and III school board size discussed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee heard testimony Jan. 31 on a bill that would allow Class II and Class III school districts to adjust the number of members on their respective school boards.<\/p>\n<p>Norfolk Sen. Jim Scheer said he introduced LB726 to provide smaller communities with more local control regarding the size of their school boards.
