Ernie Chambers, which would require certain entities to comply with provisions on open meetings, public records and conflicts of interest;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21801\">LB782<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Steve Lathrop, which would establish a return-to-learn protocol for students who have sustained a concussion;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21738\">LB797<\/a>, sponsored by Omaha Sen. John Nelson, would which provide funding for fountains at the State Capitol;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21910\">LB803<\/a>, sponsored by the Urban Affairs Committee, which would change veto power provisions for mayors of first and second class cities;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21385\">LB807<\/a>, sponsored by Scottsbluff Sen. John Harms, which would change provisions relating to provisional operator\u2019s permits, interactive wireless communication devices and occupant protection systems;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21851\">LB811<\/a>, sponsored by Ogallala Sen. Ken Schilz, which would change provisions and penalties relating to the Uniform Controlled Substances Act;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21836\">LB812<\/a>, sponsored by North Platte Sen. Tom Hansen, which would terminate the inheritance tax;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21569\">LB814<\/a>, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Bill Avery, which would change the distribution of sales tax revenue to provide funding to the Game and Parks Commission;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21767\">LB816<\/a>, sponsored by Gretna Sen. John Murante, which would authorize use of electronic forms of evidence of insurance for purposes of motor vehicle registration; and<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/view_bill.php?DocumentID=21803\">LB820<\/a>, sponsored by Hyannis Sen. Al Davis, which would authorize the governor to execute a compact for prevention and control of forest fires and provide employment status for certain volunteer firefighters.<\/p>\n<p>A complete list of bills introduced thus far is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskalegislature.gov\/bills\/search_by_date.php?SessionDay=2014\">NebraskaLegislature.gov<\/a>. New bills may be introduced for the first 10 legislative days, or until Jan. 22.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Dave Heineman\u2019s State of the State address is scheduled for Jan. 15.
