Senators reconvened Jan. 5 to continue introduction of new bills.

Among the 62 measures introduced were:

LB978, introduced by Bennington Sen. Wendy DeBoer, which would provide for adoption by a second adult person and change provisions relating to adoptions;

LB984, sponsored by Sen. Brian Hardin of Gering, which would prohibit certain actions relating to distribution of drugs by 340B entities;

LB994, introduced by Omaha Sen. Justin Wayne, which would provide for the Legislature to administer the state Department of Correctional Services and appoint the director;

LB999, sponsored by Sen. Teresa Ibach of Sumner, which would change provisions of the Nebraska Hemp Farming Act and the Uniform Controlled Substances Act;

LB1013, introduced by Fremont Sen. Lynne Walz, which would create the Family Engagement Grant Program for certain schools;

LB1022, sponsored by Sen. Rita Sanders of Bellevue, which would adopt the Cast and Crew Nebraska Act and provide for tax credits and grants;

LB1023, introduced by Elkhorn Sen. R. Brad von Gillern, which would provide income tax exemptions for certain research or experimental expenditures;

LB1027, sponsored by Sen. Robert Clements of Elmwood, which would change provisions relating to schools which elect not to meet accreditation and approval requirements;

LB1030, introduced by Brainard Sen. Bruce Bostelman, which would change provisions of the County Bridge Match Program and provide for a transfer of funds from the Roads Operations Cash Fund; and

LB1035, sponsored by Sen. Jana Hughes of Seward, which would adopt the Prescription Drug Donation Act.
