Senators introduced 95 new measures on the final day of bill introduction Jan. 20.

Among the proposals were:

LB1205, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Terrell McKinney, which would provide powers and duties to the Nebraska State Historical Society and provide for the development of the Ernie Chambers History-Arts-Humanities Museum;

LB1206, sponsored by Seward Sen. Mark Kolterman, which would appropriate federal funds to the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State Colleges for infrastructure, technology and equipment;

LB1213, sponsored by Thurston Sen. Joni Albrecht, which would provide powers and duties for school districts, schools and the Nebraska Library Commission relating to obscenity and access to materials obscene as to minors or harmful as to minors through digital or online resources provided to students;

LB1220, sponsored by Lincoln Sen. Adam Morfeld, which would appropriate federal funds to the State Department of Education for premium payments for teachers working in underserved communities;

LB1235, sponsored by Kearney Sen. John Lowe, which would change provisions relating to craft breweries and allow for self-distribution of beer under certain circumstances under the Nebraska Liquor Control Act;

LB1264, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Mike McDonnell, which would change provisions relating to inheritance taxes, sales and use taxes and income taxes;

LB1271, sponsored by Omaha Sen. Brett Lindstrom, which would adopt the Law Enforcement Marketing Act;

LB1274, sponsored by Norfolk Sen. Michael Flood, which would Require the Department of Transportation to plan, design and purchase rights-of-way for U.S. Highway 81 and Nebraska Highway 20;

LB1275, sponsored by North Platte Sen. Mike Groene, which would adopt the Medicinal Cannabis Act; and

LR282CA, sponsored by Sterling Sen. Julie Slama, a proposed constitutional amendment to eliminate the requirement to nominate and elect members of the Legislature in a nonpartisan manner.
