Senators reconvened Jan. 16 to continue introduction of new bills.

Among the 109 measures introduced were:

LB1198, introduced by Columbus Sen. Mike Moser, which would provide for the withholding of the residential address of county attorneys and deputy county attorneys from the public in county records;

LB1207, sponsored by Sen. Joni Albrecht of Thurston, which would redefine a term under the Nebraska Agricultural Products Marketing Act;

LB1221, introduced by Omaha Sen. Jen Day, which would provide staff training requirements for facilities offering care to persons with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or related disorders;

LB1241, sponsored by Sen. R. Brad von Gillern of Elkhorn, which would change provisions relating to property tax levy limits;

LB1243, introduced by Omaha Sen. Mike McDonnell, which would adopt the Wildland Fire Response Act;

LB1250, sponsored by Sen. John Cavanaugh of Omaha, which would provide grants for bike-sharing programs;

LB1252, introduced by Elkhorn Sen. Lou Ann Linehan, which would provide for a professional learning system and regional coaches for teaching students to read;

LB1256, sponsored by Sen. Wendy DeBoer of Bennington, which would require reports by communications service providers regarding 911 service outages and require a hearing;

LB1267, introduced by Lincoln Sen. Danielle Conrad, which would adopt the Uniform Public Expression Protection Act and eliminate provisions relating to actions involving public petition and participation; and

LB1269, sponsored by Sen. Brian Hardin of Gering, which would change provisions relating to the duty to retreat when using force in self-defense or defense of another and provide for criminal and civil immunity.
