Additional district court judge approved

Lawmakers passed a bill May 23 that increases the number of district court judges in Douglas County.

LB309, introduced by Omaha Sen. Steve Lathrop, adds one district court judge, increasing the number in Douglas County to 17.

The bill passed on a 46-0 vote.
